| Parity is the pregnancy number. First-timer, 1st parity. Second-time kidding, 2nd parity. It's helpful to note the exact time of day the kidding occurred. I have always used a 150-day gestation chart to estimate the due date. |

| Space for 3 kids in the litter. Immediately circle each kid's gender and record its birth weight and tattoo designation. When kids' cannons and withers are measured, include the age at which they were measured. |

| Record everything about the birth, from first signs of labor to delivery of the placenta. Write down the time everything happens - you will never remember after the excitement is over! I record all this information in the barn notebook and transcribe it to this form later. |
