FAQ:  Rectal Prolapse During Pregnancy

Q.  My 14-month-old doe is due in a week, and her rectum prolapsed. The vet fixed it, and she seems fine. Is this normal? May I have her spayed if (when) she has a C-section. 

It is unusual for the rectum to prolapse without first having a vaginal prolapse. If this was my doe, I would not breed her again.

Yes, a C-section is a very good time to spay a doe.
