FAQ:  Special Care in Late Pregnancy
Maxine Kinne

Q.  Does my doe need anything special in late pregnancy?

All does should be vaccinated with CD/T vaccine 2-4 weeks before delivery to have time to make antibodies to pass to her kids in her first milk (colostrum). If your area is selenium deficient, your veterinarian may also recommend a selenium supplement, like Bo-Se, to prevent White Muscle Disease in the newborns.

It is good practice to deworm the doe on the day she gives birth. This reduces her worm burden and to helps to keep parasite eggs in the environment to a minimum.
